A narrow loss by the second’s in their Grand Final didn’t take anything away from a fantastic weekend of finals cricket for the Marcellin Old Collegians Cricket Club. Second’s skipper Julian Sakowski lead his young charges from the front as Marcelliln just missed out on chasing down the runs. The Third XI won their Limited over competition Grand Final on the Saturday with an emphatic over rival East Salvation Army at Marcellin. Club veteran Mick Lowry hits a match winning ton – his third century in as many games. Phil Spinella made 70 as MOCCC racked up a competitive 220 batting first. Year 10 student Patrick Sexton picked up the key wicket of the prolific SA batsmen (bowled for 4) as MOCCC rolled their opponents for 90.
